BIO
Francis' Playground - a six-piece band, brings forth a flavor of Funky and psychedelic euphoria hailing from the town of Santa Barbara, Iloilo.
Yko (Francis) and Tata started jamming way back on 2011. The two arranged and made a video of their jazzy original track and uploaded it on the internet. Having been enlightened ny their past performances on YouTube, Yko was driven to push beyond and started making new compositions.
On 2012 Yko came back from Manila with 2 new original songs "Mahiwagang Matahari" and "Huling Sigaw ng Babaylan." They recorded it with Rocky filling on the drum lines, and now with Bobetto (Tata's Brother) on vocals as the band's front man.
At the dawn of 2015, Yko is again back at his hometown, bringing with him scribbled lyrics and a desire to perform. He contacted Tata. Contriving a plot to set up a band, they enlist various local talents and continued writing originals. Completing their lineup were local townies Rej on guitars and Dyeph on bass.
These talented souls started jamming every weekend. Expanding their horizons, they recorded another song called "Lakbay " and 3 additional original tracks. Together, this six piece band dishes out funky tunes and grooves which are sure to electrify anyone's ears.
Francis' Playground is presently out with their first album "Makilaro sa Aming Musika". Working on more originals, cooking tracks for their second album. Currently, they are on their way to lighting up the music scene at gigs in Iloilo City and neighboring provinces.
